The Friends Of Old-Time Radio Convention

The annual Friends of Old-Time Radio Convention is the hobby's largest convention. Held every October in Newark, New Jersey, the convention offers attendees the opportunity to meet and chat in person with other hobbyists and historians. Conventions are also the place to meet original old-time radio actors, singers, sound effect artists, and engineers. Nightly banquets are followed by re-creations of old and rew radio drama scripts, and daytime panels offer the convention-goer plenty to do. As if that weren't enough, several rooms of dealers' tables offer virtually any radio program for sale on any format: open reel tape, cassette, audio CD, MP3 CD, vinyl LP, and occasionally, even original transcription discs are for sale.

I attended the FOTR Convention in 2001 and 2002 and am posting some photos of the convention here.
