When I was in high school and college, I hosted a weekly radio program devoted to old-time radio shows and music of the 1920s, '30s, and '40s (first on WLQE-FM and WLVA-AM in Lynchburg, Virginia and later on WCWM-FM in Williamsburg, Virginia). It was a wonderful experience and I always looked forward to my Sunday nights "on the air." I loved the opportunity to share my new record finds with listeners who actually cared, and I enjoyed corresponding with some of those listeners. I no longer have the time to devote to putting together a weekly live radio program, but I still get a thrill from sharing my records with anyone who wants to listen. Thanks to the wonders of the internet, the Shellac Stack podcast has afforded me the chance to continue spinning discs without the time constraints or weekly commitments of a "real" radio program. I will try to post new programs regularly (at least once a month), but since this is just a spare-time hobby, please understand if I sometimes miss a month or two.
I will post new programs here as I record them. You may also wish to subscribe to the Shellac Stack RSS feed to enable automatic downloading of new Shellac Stack podcasts as soon as they are released. If you use Apple's iTunes program, just go to the iTunes Store and search for "Shellac Stack." Then simply click the button to subscribe and all future programs will be automatically downloaded to your computer for listening at your leisure. Neat! (And while you're there, I'd be grateful if you might consider leaving a short review of the program.) If you prefer to download the programs individually from this page through your web browser, just select the show you want to hear from the list below. You may need to right click and select "Save target as" or, if you're on a Mac (like me), hold the control button, click on the show you want, and select "Download linked file." Enjoy!
